The iPads will be used in a socially-distanced group setting that will allow the students to synthesize Spanish vocabulary and grammatical structures, helping them create and evaluate their original movies. These ipads will help students become more comfortable using the language outside of the classroom because they will have produced original movies based on real-life scenarios. The purchase of these ipads will also foster three invaluable processes in our classroom: world language acquisition, creating products, and evaluating these products in a collaborative setting, all of which are twenty-first century skills. Moreover, the ipads will provide students with the mobility needed in order to film authentic movie clips that replicate our student-centered thematic units, further engaging and immersing students in the target language.
