I will use these books to help students gain confidence in their ability to read while practicing sight words in a meaningful text. I am seeing more and more students who do not have the support at home to help them learn sight words so I am incorporating lots of opportunities to practice in this area. I feel these books will provide another opportunity for that to happen. Students choose books that they can read. These books provide a combination of words and pictures to make them inviting for students. Being able to read these books will boost their confidence and take them to the next level. I purchased a set of these books for my niece, who is an emerging reader, and she loves that she is reading! Her family loves it too! I have high hopes that I will witness the same thing with my students.
