The iPad can be used for small group instruction, which is a method of teaching that is encouraged for special needs learners. Small group instruction provides an opportunity for concepts to be retaught or practiced in an effort to reinforce student skill sets. In the past, small group instruction has been executed with laminated materials; however, an iPad would provide an opportunity for interactive and especially visual learning. The small printer would help with modifications and support for special needs learners; learning supports, such as outlines, sentence frames, visual images, and vocabulary can be printed as as a sticker and placed within their notebooks. This is ideal for students to keep support-material with them and not lose it between classes. It is also particularly ideal now for hybrid learners, as students wouldn't need to share resources and we would not need to sanitize materials in between classes. Lastly, to further reinforce the importance of visual learning, the Cricut allows us to make engaging resources in larger form for tactile learners and special needs students who prefer a hands-on approach to learning. This product provides us with the opportunity to make personalized materials for students, including workbooks, posters, and visual aids. Student engagement and organization are ideal for special needs learners; labeling materials for in-person students allows for an easier transition between classes, learning, and materials. Additionally, remote learners can also benefit from this product, as it would allow us to create bright and clear visuals for students at home as they engage virtually, yet they can still feel like they are in the classroom.
