I only have a district issued laptop to use. Whenever I'm on Zoom, I have to minimize the screen (Zoom) in order to see anything else on my laptop. When I minimize Zoom, I'm not able to effectively see my chat. The chat is where about 90% of student questions are asked. Having a 2nd screen will allow me to keep Zoom up (making it more effective for me to see the chat) and give students the opportunities to have their questions answered faster and more efficiently. Students want to know if they are meeting the learning targets! One of the most asked question I get is "Did I do it right?" Students are wanting to know that they succeeded, and having a 2nd monitor will allow me to pull up individual students' grades and assignments without me having to move a lot of tabs around. Also, I can use this 2nd monitor to split the class in half (while on Zoom) and monitor both groups in a smaller group setting. This is very helpful if some students need to be on Zoom to get work done on their own and ask the occasional question (1st group) and students who need more direct instruction (2nd group). You are helping make student learning more effective with your donation!
