Teachers are dependent on technology to teach remotely. While supplies the district provides me are appreciated, I am even more aware of our limitations. We have virtual whiteboards via Google Apps but we don't have digital tablets that we can use for writing. The most difficult was the time when even teachers had to teach from home and I didn't have any whiteboard to write on. Writing with a computer mouse was very difficult. Noise-canceling headphones will help my students eliminate bothersome background noise and help them to focus. Also, a writing tablet and a simple iPad will allow me to stay connected with my students virtually and online by modeling concepts for them. Most of my students are depending on the teacher's writing on a board and they copy almost everything that is on the board. This is difficult during online learning.
