Dogs Teaching Students!

The Mutt-I-Grees curriculum kit has had a huge impact on the school community. The binders were provided to teachers to implement a social-emotional learning curriculum. Teachers are now more aware of how to provide students with strategies and skills to become resilient and empathetic in real-life situations.

The faces on most students when they saw a dog in the building were of complete shock. Even though they were told a therapy dog would be coming to visit, they didn't believe it was true. We introduced the project at the end of the year so I know they are going to love it when we implement the curriculum fully in the 2019-2020 school year.
