Students with disabilities have faced many new challenges as a result of distance learning. One of the greatest challenges my students have is efficiently navigating their computers from home. In order to lessen this barrier, I am asking for 10 computer mouses so that students have an easier time using their devices. I am also requesting 10 draw pads for use in their math class. The reason for this is that it is extremely difficult to see student work over zoom, and my students have great difficulty navigating online math platforms. This tool would allow students to write their work directly onto their computer screen using a stylus. This will improve my ability to progress monitor and ensure that students are following along with instruction. Beyond distance learning, these tools will still be of use as we return to campus, as my school heavily uses computers in our classroom instruction.
