Our program is a Title I school. Books are used as a part of lesson plans to help students enhance language skills, increase their vocabulary, and inspire a love of reading. We read the stories often to supplement meaningful conversations, identify the characters and connect extension activities through the day. These materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning by introducing reading concepts and maximizing learning . The informational text will be chosen from each book for a lesson that is virtual or in-person. Next, focus vocabulary is selected to introduce to the students. My students love to retell the stories and draw pictures about the characters.
