Funded Jun 12, 2024I wanted to take a moment to share how your generous contributions have made a tangible impact in our classroom. Since receiving the new resources, my students have been engaged in and have something to write with everyday. They are able to keep their work organized with the folders donated.
One of the highlights was when we introduced the new materials. The moment my students walked into the classroom and saw the pencil parking lot filled with pencils their eyes lit up. They were genuinely excited and immediately began brainstorming their ideas on paper when it came to independent work. It was heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm, as they eagerly collaborated and discussed how they could utilize the resources.
Currently, we are in the midst of learning ratios and equivalent ratios (Grade 6), using the four operations with fractions (Grade 7), and balancing one & two step equations. Next, they will solve real world problems where they will have to use the four operations along with fractions to solve. I can already see their confidence growing, and I can't wait to see the final results!
