I am teaching classes virtually to a kindergarten class who opted to learn from home as well. Reading is a very important part of our kindergarten curriculum, and I have faced the problem of reading from a book and at the same time showing images through the camera that are too tiny to see while I read to them. This is especially hard for them because they are not able to see a full image of what I'm reading or presenting to them. Having an ELMO will allow them to visually see full images of the books that are being read to them. A monitor will allow me to see all of them at the same time on one screen while I show the book on the other screen. This way I can watch the students on the monitor and keep them engaged while I'm presenting materials or sharing documents with them.
