Having access to graphing calculator technology promote nearly all of the Nevada Academic Content Standards for High School Math - Number and Quantity, Algebra, Functions, Modeling, Geometry, and Statistics and Probability. Graphing calculators are required for AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC for the course and to take the exam. My dual-credit precalculus and Honors precalculus students can also benefit from graphing calculators. These calculators are simply too expensive for many students whose families have been impacted by COVID. The donations to this project will help my students build upon their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to perform better in math and science. They will help expressions, formulas and graphs come to life in their hands, and be able to make connections that lead to a deeper understanding of important concepts.
