They actually use all the items everyday during their breaks! In addition, the wiggle seats are helping my students attend better during independent classwork time and whole group work!

  • Sensory overload

    Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students have been using all of the materials daily! They absolutely love the flexible wobbly cushions. They use it during whole group, small group and 1:1 instructions. I have also observed one of my students grabbing the cushion and bringing it to his chair independently before he starts his work. He really likes sitting on it and it helps him stay on task.

    All of my students love the sensory sand set and they are learning to share and play together. It has provided opportunities for the students to work on their social skills, fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, and creativity.

    The squeeze sensory beads are used during their sensory breaks throughout the day. These beads are absolutely amazing because they don't dry out and my students have been using it over and over again. Thanks again for the donations, I really appreciate it!”

My students need sensory breaks throughout the day. They need a sensory break between each tasks otherwise they have hard time focusing with various different behaviors. The materials requested would help my students in various ways. It will help my students stay engaged, sit and attend longer during instructions. During whole group/morning meetings with the students, the cushion chairs would help them sit and attend in a comfortable environment. My students have hard time staying on task so I am hoping when these items are in place, they would stay motivated to work longer. The sensory toys can also be used as reinforcements and for sensory input.
