The books will provide my students with an opportunity to read outside of school. We know that the more a child reads the greater the child’s academic success. With school being closed our access to books has been extremely limited and they are hungry for more than what we have available. We are also only provided crayon boxes with 8 colors. Definitely not enough to encourage creative drawing that leads to full detailed writing. The more color we have the more details students can add and incorporate in their drawing. This helps to support them in writing the sentences that go along with their pictures.
