Privacy for Peers!
Funded Apr 6, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students are now able to take assessments and do class work with privacy. Without these partitions, students were often distracted by other peers while they worked. Now they are able to work with minimal distractions.
The students were so excited to see the new privacy shields! The vibrant color is appealing to them. It helps to create a space that is their own while they work.
I have always wanted to have privacy shields for my students but couldn't afford them. Teachers often have to purchase regular school supplies such as pencils, paper, and folders. Buying those items took priority over anything else that I wanted for them. Thank you so much for funding this project!”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT.Keep Distant Learning Near With Nearpod!
Funded Feb 23, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity. Words can not express my gratitude. You have made it possible for me to use technology in the classroom as a way to not only teach my students, but also deliver the instruction in ways that are engaging to my students. Nearpod provides several options for teachers to choose from. We can choose lessons already created from the Nearpod library or create our own and upload to Nearpod. These options include videos, open ended questions, virtual field trips, posting responses to a classroom board, and playing a variety of games as a way to practice newly learned skills. It even keeps tracks of students' responses so that teachers can analyze those responses and use data for instructional decisions.
Students are most excited about the ability to engage in different activities to practice the learning. The activities are so engaging to the children until they don't view it as work because they are having so much fun. The site is totally user friendly and students easily maneuver to the different activities.
Students love certain elements such as class competition provided by activities such as "Time to Climb". For those that are not fond of "racing" to the finish, they enjoy the option to complete self paced activities. This is also a great option to assign as homework for students.
This has been one of the biggest blessings that a teacher could receive, especially during this new virtual environment. Thank you so much for helping fund this project.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Harris
