LEGO Education and STEM Club

My LGA Brick Builders club has been using the kits we obtained to try and familiarize ourselves with the LEGO Education App and learn the process. The students have been excited to work through the first few lessons provided by LEGO Education and enjoyed watching the build hop around. They also started to troubleshoot why some were not working as well as others and deciding how to improve the movement.

Students were excited to get started with the kits and wanted to be able to build exciting, fun builds. They wanted to see LEGO builds move around and discover what could be done with all the sensors and motors. It has brought out more interaction in the group where many were just building by themselves now they are looking at what others are doing and trying to see how their builds will compare when motorized.

In the future, we are looking at continuing to learn how to use the App and how to incorporate more competition. I have started looking into LEGO First League. We also hope to get more students involved and build LGA Brick Builders into a mainstream club here on our campus.”
