Annotating a screen with a mouse looks like a mouse did the annotating. I love to illustrate ideas and use math to solve physics problems. While we have been distance learning, my artistic talents have suffered, and my students can't tell if I am drawing an elephant or a car, or a zero or a six.
I am requesting a Surface Pro so that I may use a stylus to clearly annotate drawings and solve physics problems. When explaining concepts I like to enhance the lessons with pictures and videos. I often stop to draw on the video or picture to help explain science concepts. For example, I may use arrows to signify the direction of a force, or assign values to use as an example for a physics problem. I have two colleagues who are using surface pros, one for math and one for science and they love them.
Currently, I am working from home, but this technology will serve the same purpose in person. There are so many wonderful and amazing resources out there to engage students.
