Folders for Everyone
Funded Aug 15, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations to help my classes get music folders. Thanks to these donations, my students are currently making music portfolios. Every time my students do music classwork, projects, or tests, the papers get put in their folders. This has helped my students stay organized and understand how they are doing in music. Any time my students ask how they are doing in my class, I direct them to their folder and have them tell me how they think they are doing. These folders also came in handy for our first parent teacher conferences. When a parent had a question about a student's grade, I took out their child's folder and showed them what they have been doing. The folders have also been a great review tool for my students. My students know what to study for the test and it even has been a great review tool for their current classwork.
My students were so excited to get music folders this year and really enjoy personalizing and decorating their own folder. They are looking forward to taking their music portfolios home at the end of the year. They love looking at everything they have learned and accomplished this school year! Thank you again for supporting my classroom!”

Funded May 1, 2024Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. These supplies will help us to provide essential care items for students who need them. Ultimately, your assistance gives us the tools and opportunity we needed to enhance our students' learning. Since the students will not have to worry about their basic needs, I am certain these supplies will allow my students to boost their engagement and ability to complete hands-on tasks as well as increase students' achievement.
Again, thank you for making our wishes come to reality. I am so happy that we are able to provide these items for our students. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donations to help my classroom get a teachers pay teachers gift card. This gift card will help me purchase many things in my classroom. So far I have purchased some interactive games to learn solfège and melody. The students loved the games and it helped them prepare for their test.
I have also used the gift card to purchase a social emotional project. This year I am co-teaching SEL and planning new lessons and activities for the whole year. Part of our curriculum covers big emotions and strategies to help students calm down and focus during those big emotions. This project has been amazing for our students and they are working on creating an entire emotional folder they can use the whole year.
Thanks to your generosity, I will continue to use this card to purchase amazing materials for my students. I am planning on purchasing more music center materials for instruments. I am also hoping to find more interactive games for instruments and music styles. I will also continue to find great social emotional material to help our students grow. Finally, I will be finding more projects my students can do on different composers and musicians.”

Funded Sep 2, 2024Thank you so much for supporting this project! Mental Health is so important for all kids to learn about. I am so excited to be able to implement these lessons in my classroom because of your generous donation. Mental health is important for students in the classroom because it can impact their ability to learn, develop, and achieve their goals. Research shows that there is a strong link between a student's mental health and their academic success. Your kindness is appreciated more than you can imagine. Thank you!”

Funded Nov 22, 2023Thank you so much for the fabulous incentives that you have donated. My students have been very excited with the neat toy incentives I was able to get. After showing them the pop it toys, skateboards, puzzle balls, keychains, and erasers, my students wanted to be extra good and worked really hard.
In our school, students are able to get points for good behaviors. Students can buy prizes once they get a certain number of points at our Horizon Store. Once we put these options in our store, students have been working extra hard to earn points to buy a toy package at the store. The last two times have had similar items, so they were enthusiastic for some new toy prizes. We really appreciate the donation and love that these items encourage our kids to be respectful, responsible, and safe in our classrooms.”

Funded Sep 26, 2023Thank you for your generous donation of hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes and spray. Thanks to these donations I have been able to keep my classroom germ free. My students have already used one giant bottle of hand sanitizer in my classroom. They are extremely thankful that they can use hand sanitizer after they blow their nose, use an instrument, or want to clean their hands. It is an essential in my classroom, especially since students are constantly sharing supplies and tables.
We are also very thankful for the disinfectant spray and wipes that I use to clean my tables and instruments. I always feel my classroom stays cleaner and safer after using these supplies. Thanks to your donations I will have enough cleaning supplies to last the whole year!”

Funded Aug 15, 2023Thank you so much for donating dry erase sleeves, dry erase markers, and play-doh. Since I have multiple grades and classes a day, I use dry erase sleeves and markers all the time. Dry erase sleeves allow my students to work on a paper without making 200 copies. It also allows me to quickly assess whether my students are learning the material or need more help. My students love using dry erase markers and find it more exciting to use sleeves then regular paper. It works so well, I keep them in every pouch in my classroom. Due to its constant use, I might go through several markers and pouches each year. These supplies will keep my classroom engaged for the whole year. So far, we have used the dry erase sleeves and markers for rhythm compositions, melody compositions, and listening challenges.
I also love using play-doh with my littles. I can incorporate play-doh in so many ways in music. My kindergarten classes were so excited when they found out they were using play-doh in class! So far, they have used their play-doh to make rhythms, symbols, and their own so-mi melody composition. My classes will continue to use their play-doh throughout the year for other activities such as instruments and form. At the end of the year, they will be able to take their play-doh home. They are very excited about their end of the year gift! Thank you again for your generous support and keeping my students engaged in music all year around!”
