• Clothing for the Cold

• Treat Yo' Self!

  The students were so happy with the rewards they earned! Each month we hold a store where students can spend the coins they have earned by following rules, meeting expectations, and genuinely going above and beyond in our school. Most of them have been asking for more candy and with your donations I was able to give them some of their favorite.

  They work hard each month to earn these coins and they ask me constantly when the next store is going to be. I love being able to surprise them with prizes they have requested and I am continually able to do that because of Donor's Choose and because of donors like you. With all my heart, thank you.”

• No Tricks, All Treats

• Weather the Storm

  I want to send a true and tremendous thank you to those of you who found it within their hearts to donate to my students and myself. My students have been through so much this year including the rampant weather we had in our area. Due to unforeseen factors outside of our control our students were made to face challenges that they were simply not ready for. Partially because of your donation and because of the students' own perseverance they were able to cope and overcome each challenge thrown at them!

  Some of the resources you help donate helped students in our overcoming their obstacles by giving them something to work for. Behavior and grades cannot slip, even in the face of adversity and by giving rewards to students who persevered we were able to motivate so many more students to look within themselves and find strength.

  After this project was funded we were able to continue to learn and grow while discussing weather patterns and the students felt safe doing that with the help of your donations.

• Speak Out Against Bullying

  Thank you so much for giving your time and resources to my students. They are able to use all of these resources to help themselves and help others when bullying is impacting them. Sadly, a lot of my students feel targeted and picked on and with these resources they are able to find coping skills and other ways to take ownership of their thoughts and actions. My hope is that they use these resources to grow themselves into efficient members of society and that through their education with these resources they take what they've learned and teach others around them.”

• Creating Community Members by Managing Behavior

  I cannot express enough how your donation has impacted our school's culture. We used each of the resources we were lucky enough to receive as part of our school based behavior management program. We have truly enjoyed having the resources to celebrate our students' achievements every month.

  Each month, our students were able to collect and spend points at our school store. They earned these points by following procedures, meeting expectations, and going above and beyond in and out of the classroom. With what you gave, we were able to hold a store front each month and supply the students with new and exciting items.

  Our students come from a diverse background. A large percentage of our population falls under the poverty line. Some of them would never have been able to experience moments like this and now they have. Again, I thank you.”

• Fidget While You Work

  Funded May 27, 2021

  Thank you so much for donating to my classroom and helping my students. Every day they are so excited to be able to use a fidget toy while they work. I have seen improvements in attention spans, comprehension, and behavior all because I have allowed them to fidget while they work.

  Each day, each of my students is allowed to take and use one fidget at their area. This procedure has helped practice different classroom management systems and helped the students achieve higher standards of my expectations in my classroom.

  I was able to introduce these new materials to my students at the beginning of this school year. Because of this my students learned responsibility and were so excited to be able to finally utilize these resources in my classroom!

  I hope to continue teaching my students about focus and stamina with their attention spans. I hope by allowing them to fidget and take brain breaks when needed they learn to manage their emotions and control their behavior better.
