    Thank you for your kind donations. With your help, we have received the tools needed to better support and understand our students. Students have felt more eager to share and verbalize what they are feeling. When our student first enroll, they mostly feel scared, embarrassed, nervous, and sad. All those feelings are often bottled in and stored. They emerge at different times and often those feelings exacerbate and trigger other feelings and behaviors. The students loved the material and the decor in the room. New and cool things are often things my students do not experience. This time around, they were happy and wanted to be in my office/classroom. It helped expressed what they were feeling and we discussed healthy coping skills, while gaining their trust. Once again, thank you!”

The materials I requested will help our classroom feel welcoming and will help identify how I can better support the students. I hold attendance challenges that motivate our students. Our school also holds Kindness Week which helps our students participate in activities with each other and the staff.
