I provide speech therapy services to a variety of students in grades Pre-K through first. My students have varied needs and levels of communicative competency. Some students require merely helping correct a lisp, while other students are nonverbal children with autism who need to develop a functional communication system. iPads offer one of the easiest and fastest ways to access a variety of materials to fit each of my students' needs, and with app content which is both engaging and motivating. An updated iPad with enough memory to allow for a variety of apps would be used daily with nearly every student, and an essential piece in my therapy toolkit.
