I am seeking funding to cover the cost of postage and to purchase cards so I can send stickers and other small flat items to my students. Since I began sending personalized cards each month, I have seen children work harder on their asynchronous apps. Distance learning has been difficult and I know many are lonely and miss being in school. Unfortunately COVID-19 cases have been high in our district zip code and some families have fallen ill. I know my cards have brightened their spirits during these difficult times. I feel it is important to write every student a personalized letter, to form a connection and encourage them to succeed. That is why I am seeking funding.
