Many of my students are ready to engage in learning Spanish despite the obstacles they are dealing with throughout the pandemic. Through this project I am requesting an iPad to use during eLearning so that I can have multi-displays and activities for students to engage in. While learning at home, students will be able to participate in quality lessons as I will have the proper technology to teach from home. Currently, my computer is extremely old and slow as I have had to use it nonstop since March; the iPad will allow additional access. Once we return to school, students will have access to this technology as well. I know I will not be able to create a full in-class experience, but trying to teach with only my run down computer is not a prime set up for high-quality, uninterrupted lessons as we often have to pause due to lagging, low-quality video presentations, or dropping of sound. New technology will allow me to produce high-quality recordings, engage with students without pauses, and navigate seamlessly as I model strategies. The iPad will allow me to collaborate with students and share information as we learn about culture and language.
