  • Flexible Seating: Giving Students a Choice in the Classroom!

    Funded May 16, 2021

    My students are loving their new materials. When these items were placed in the classroom they all started instantly talking and excitement began filling the room! They were so excited when they found out they were going to get to use the furniture and tools. They love that they get a choice in where they were working for the day! I have introduced my students to flexible seating and it has been going great!

    I have seen an improvement in my students, especially those with ADHD. As a class overall, I have seen this be beneficial for everyone. They work hard because they know it's a privilege to get to use the tools and furniture. It has helped keep everyone's focus and attention!

    Our next steps are to continue practicing the rules and routines for flexible seating! I hope to add more options to students in the future! The experiences my students are experiencing would have not been possible without your help! We are thankful for your support and donation!”

Flexible seating will allow students to focus and engage in lessons. Students need to have an outlet for their energy while still learning and growing in the classroom! Flexible seating will give students a choice and allow them to participate in more collaborative experiences. By helping provide wobble chairs, balance balls, and floor seats to our class, students will be able to be comfortable while learning and participating in activities. I hope to be able to make this opportunity happen for my students! I appreciate you taking the time to read our classroom dream and thank you for donating towards our project!
