  • Enriching and Digital Learning Opportunities for All Students

    My students have been able to participate in class, answer questions, and show their work right from their desks with the use of this iPad. I have been able to model problems for my students without standing in the way of the board. The use of this iPad in my classroom has improved my classroom and has allowed my students to have a fair chance at participating in class.

    My students have been amazed when we are taking notes and I am able to walk around and provide individualized support at the same time. This has given me a chance to be able to be more mobile in the room as well as be more responsive to my students.

    I have had students who beg to use the iPad to show how they solved a problem. These students did not typically get involved in class discussions before, but now are excited to participate.”

  • Kids Forget, Too: We Need Extra Chromebook Chargers

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! It has been so wonderful to be able to give my students a chance to charge their Chromebooks in school. Many classes have not been able to use paper materials due to COVID-19 and not being allowed to pass around paper. Many times students do come to school with their computers charged, but by the end of the day they need to recharge their computers. The chargers and extension cords have really helped my students be able to learn and actively participate in the class assignments every day.”

I teach 80 fabulous 12 to 14 year-olds. This year our district went 1:1 with Chromebooks. I am so thankful that every student was provided a Chromebook and a charger to take to and from school each day. However, my kids are human too and do not remember to charge their Chromebooks each night, nor do they remember to bring their chargers to school each day. I would love to have a few extra chargers to keep in my classroom for when my students do not remember theirs. This will enable them to continue doing their work and not have a dead computer battery. I also would like to reward my students with candy for outstanding classroom participation.
