Alphabet Explores: Journey to Literacy
Funded Sep 26, 2024I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous support of our "Alphabet Explores: Journey to Literacy" project. Your contributions have provided my students with the essential materials they need to master the alphabet and begin building a strong foundation for reading and literacy skills.
Since receiving the new materials, my Pre-K scholars have been excited to explore the world of letters! We've used the alphabet charts, flashcards, and tactile learning tools in so many ways to make learning interactive and fun. One of our favorite activities has been our "Alphabet Adventure," where each week we focus on a different letter and engage in hands-on activities like letter matching games, sensory letter tracing, and creating letter art with different materials. The children are not only learning letter recognition, but also developing fine motor skills, improving their hand-eye coordination, and building confidence as they see themselves making progress.
When the students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement! They were eager to dive into the letter games and use the hands-on tools. One of the most heartwarming moments was when a student excitedly shouted, "I know this letter!" as they picked up the letter flashcards. It was such a rewarding experience to witness their enthusiasm for learning and their growing recognition of letters.
Looking ahead, we'll be continuing our "Alphabet Exploration" with a special project where the children will create their own "Alphabet Books." Each child will choose their favorite letter, explore words that start with that letter, and illustrate it using the new materials. This project will give them the opportunity to practice letter formation, reinforce letter-sound associations, and express their creativity in a fun, personal way.
Your support is giving my students the building blocks they need to become strong readers. Thank you for helping them start their literacy journey with excitement and confidence. I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and commitment to making a difference in their lives.”

Puzzle Power: Building Math Skills Piece by Piece
Funded Jul 31, 2024I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support of our "Puzzle Power: Building Math Skills Piece by Piece" project. Your contribution has brought exciting new resources into our classroom, and the impact on my students has been remarkable.
Since receiving the puzzles and materials, we've been using them in a variety of creative ways to build math skills in fun and engaging ways. The students have been working with shape puzzles, number puzzles, and even puzzles that require them to solve simple math problems to complete the image. These activities have not only reinforced important math concepts like counting, patterns, and geometry but also helped develop their problem-solving and fine motor skills.
When the students first saw the new puzzles, their eyes lit up with excitement! They couldn't wait to dive in and start putting the pieces together. Many of them were immediately drawn to the colorful pieces, and I could see their curiosity and determination grow as they figured out how to match numbers or solve puzzles that required counting or identifying shapes. It was a moment of pure joy, and it was clear that these puzzles were not only helping them practice math but also sparking their love for learning.
As we continue with our math lessons, the next step for my students is a "Puzzle Challenge Week" where they will work in small groups to solve math puzzles and create their own puzzles for each other. They'll be practicing teamwork, communication, and critical thinking as they solve the puzzles together and develop their math skills in a collaborative setting.
Thanks to your generosity, these young learners are gaining confidence in their math abilities while developing skills that will set them up for success in the years to come. I cannot thank you enough for your support of this project—it has truly made a difference in their learning journey.”

Snack Attack Adventure: Healthy Bites for Bright Minds
Funded Aug 15, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our "Snack Attack Adventure: Healthy Bites for Bright Minds" project. Your generous contributions have made a world of difference in the lives of my Pre-K scholars, and I'm excited to share the wonderful impact these new resources have had on our classroom.
Since we received the healthy snacks and materials, my students have been absolutely delighted! We've been using the snacks as part of our daily routines, incorporating them into snack time, circle time discussions, and even a few fun learning activities. For example, during our "Healthy Snack Sorting" activity, the children learned to sort fruits, vegetables, and other snacks into categories based on color and shape. They had a blast engaging in this hands-on activity, practicing important skills like fine motor coordination, categorization, and vocabulary, all while enjoying the healthy treats.
When the students first saw the new snacks and resources, their faces lit up with excitement! They couldn't wait to explore the colorful fruit cups and veggie snacks, eagerly asking questions about what they were and how they could use them. It was such a special moment, and it showed me how much they value and look forward to healthy choices. They even began making connections between the snacks and the stories we read about eating healthy.
Looking ahead, the next step in our classroom journey is a "Snack Exploration" project where we'll continue learning about where our food comes from and how it helps us grow strong and healthy. We'll be using the snacks you've helped provide as part of a sensory exploration activity, where students will touch, taste, and describe the foods to help develop their language skills. This project will allow them to build even more awareness of healthy eating habits while fostering social skills as they share and discuss their favorite snacks with one another.
Thanks to you, my Pre-K scholars are not only learning important academic concepts, but they're also developing healthy habits that will benefit them for years to come. Your support has truly made a difference in their lives, and we are so grateful for your kindness.
With heartfelt thanks,”

Funded Aug 25, 2023We are absolutely thrilled with the new math and phonics puzzles that our generous donors have provided! One of the most exciting projects we've been working on involves using the math puzzles to help students learn number recognition and sequencing. Each day, we gather around as a group and pick a puzzle. The children eagerly take turns placing the pieces in the correct order, counting aloud as they go. It's amazing to see their faces light up with excitement as they successfully complete each puzzle and gain confidence in their math skills.
When the math and phonics puzzles first arrived in our classroom, the students were mesmerized! Their eyes widened with curiosity as they examined the colorful pieces and felt the textures of the puzzle boards. There was an immediate buzz of excitement as they realized these were tools designed just for them to learn and play with. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it set the stage for many engaging learning moments ahead.
In our current lesson plan, we're diving deeper into phonics using the new puzzles. We've started with simple letter recognition activities, where students match letters to corresponding pictures or objects. The next step involves introducing basic phonics sounds through interactive games and group activities. With these puzzles, we aim to build a strong foundation in phonemic awareness, which is crucial for early literacy development. We're excited to witness their progress as they explore the world of letters and sounds in a fun and interactive way.
By sharing these details, you not only provide insight into how the donated resources are being used but also demonstrate the impact of the donors' generosity on your students' learning experiences. It connects them more deeply to the positive outcomes their support has made possible in your classroom.”

Funded Dec 15, 2021As I pulled each item out of the box, my students were amazed at what they saw. We immediately begin using our new learning resources. Using these hands-on boards and clips, I've taught counting, patterning, and simple addition in a snap. As a result of your support, my young scholars were able to grab a preprinted activity board and attach the clips to match numbers to quantities. In addition to completing colorful patterns and addition problems through 10, the hands-on boards and clips provided them with opportunities to practice their math skills. The Hands-On Math Trays are also useful for sorting, counting, patterning, graphing, and comparing math counters. Thank you for helping my students explore math concepts hands-on through your support.”

Lighting Up Pre-K Town
Funded Sep 7, 2022Thank you for your selfless giving, and I cannot begin to express the gratitude we have for you. Your gifts enabled me to create an inviting learning environment where my young scholars could enhance their literacy, writing, mathematics, and science skills. I opened the box with my students and they were ecstatic to see a Light Table inside. I was able to put the Light Table to use right away by my students. In the math center, children explored color, light, and number properties while building number skills. Children practice counting, sequencing, and identifying quantities on the light table. On a light table, transparent pattern blocks were also popular for practicing patterning and identifying shapes. In the writing center, I watch my students show off their writing skills. Along with practicing printing and learning letter sounds, they also practice forming upper- and lowercase letters. Through play, my young scholar was able to learn without even realizing it. The two things they enjoy most are exploring and learning. The perfect opportunity was provided for children to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and prewriting abilities thanks to your support. Our future depends on your commitment to children, teachers, and educators. Thank you!”

Funded Mar 14, 2022As part of my math center, my students explore number and quantity concepts, patterns and sorting, as well as shapes. As a result of your generous donations towards my projects, I was able to provide books that will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create and provide engaging ways to incorporate math into the classroom. As I read the books aloud to my students in large and small groups, I invite them to explore math concepts in greater depth. Sort It Out by Barbara Mariconda is a favorite book for both my class and myself. There is a small mouse named Packy in this book who enjoys collecting a variety of things. As part of his discovery, he found a turtle, marble, string, tea kettle, pine cone, and more. He sorted these items according to color, living and non-living things, shapes, textures, and materials as his mother instructed him, "Enough is enough. Empty all that stuff you collected today. Then put it away." For this story, we created a color sorting game using Packy's items collected in the book in a sensory tub. Watching the children discover Packy's items in the tub was such a wonderful experience.I would like to thank you again for your support. You have enabled me to turn stories from the text into learning activities for young scholars as a result of your support.”
