Wobble Seating

My students absolutely love the new resources. They were so excited to begin using them. In addition to these new active learning stools, I have yoga balls, wobble cushions, and kick bands. I do rotate the flex seating every three weeks so that every student gets a chance with each option.

The students knew something was up when I had gotten a phone call from the office and sent four students to receive the boxes. We had no idea how big the boxes would be until those four students came into the classroom with these giant boxes. All eyes widened as they set the boxes down. I then asked the class, "Do you want to know what is in here?!" They all yelled, "YES!" I had not told them yet about the new flex seating option. When I pulled the first stool out, they all cheered. They wondered when I would be mixing the stools into the flex seating rotation.

My next Donors Choose project will be tablets for the classroom. Our world is becoming more technological each day. In attempts to keep up, I would love to create a project for tablets in the classroom. I would like to use these tablets in small groups and create anchor charts with QR codes. That way, students can scan the anchor charts around the room and find a video or audio that goes hand-in-hand with the chart. I would also like to use the tablets for the library. I would download an app and have my books uploaded to the app. That way I can keep track of what books are being read by each student.
