  • Lifelong Learners

    Funded Jan 24, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! I am so excited to watch my students learn and grow as they use these new tools. Our biography reports will be so much richer with the additional options for students of people to choose. We are also very excited about the art projects we will be able to do with those supplies. These gifts are so appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Woodel

  • We're Pandemic Flexible!

    Funded Jan 15, 2021

Thank you so much for funding our project!! The students have had so much use out of the new tools and they absolutely love them!

We use the floor tables daily! Each day I choose random students to have a chance to sit anywhere in the room and work on the floor with the tables and they all can't wait for their chance to do just that.

The pencil sharpeners at each table have also been a huge help. With our Covid set up we are trying to limit the amount of kids wandering at a time as well as limit the amount of people using supplies. These have ensured that each group of students is able to have access to the ability to sharpen their pencils throughout the day.

Finally, my classroom was recently hit with a positive Covid case. This put us back into remote learning. I was able to use the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to get fun lessons that were able to keep the students focused and engaged when we were back in the wonky online learning setting.

My class has been so blessed by the donations and we are so thankful for all the help!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Woodel

As my school transitions from totally remote into a hybrid and ultimately into being open at full capacity, I am looking for ways to keep my students organized and encourage their joy for learning. I am still going to have students who are fully remote through the end of the school year. I've found a TON of amazing resources on Teachers Pay Teachers that are great for students in the classroom and at home that will keep them engaged and excited about the learning. Another area I'm working to improve is classroom organization. I will have my students broken up into cohorts that they will work with, limit the amount of movement, and help with some social distancing. I plan to put a battery operated pencil sharpener at each table group. This will help them stay together and reduce possible exposure within the classroom. Many of my students enjoy sitting on the carpet to work. To give them that option, I'm requesting a few lap tables to give them that workspace and allow them the flexibility of choosing a different spot to sit in the classroom.
