Even though this is a science classroom, reading is still the most important skill I can teach. These books and magazines will allow the kids to choose how they want to approach scientific learning, whether it be from a fantasy approach with Dinotopia to a 'real-life' approach with the Science Magazines to a more historical non-fiction approach with "Hidden Figures", they will be able to acquire more knowledge the way THEY want. I always try to keep a variety of reading materials stocked for young readers to choose from and with this project, I anticipate all of my students wanting a chance to read the incredible science stories included!

About my class
