  • Combining Art and Technology: Learning Valuable Lessons Through Tie-Dye Shirts

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity! This project was a complete success, our kids loved their new t-shirts! They had so much fun being able to customize and personalize their own t-shirts, and they will be reminded of this experience every single time they wear it. They learned the invaluable effects art has on coping with any stress and anxiety they may face, in addition to how technology can help augment these effects. Thank you again for your generous donations, we will forever appreciate it!”

  • Combining Art and Technology: Paint Pouring and the Color Wheel

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

I want to thank you for the amazing donations that you did to my class. I work for a program that help families in need. Most of my families does not count with computers or laptops in their houses. Educators can use technology in a purposeful way, much like we do with other learning materials , like books, toys, etc.

The student is this class enjoyed this activity very much specially when we use the computer to recorded the process of mixing colors. They were amazed watching a video showing how do you make red, that is the result of mixing magenta and yellow.

Thank you again for all your cooperation. We are very grateful.”

  • PreK Virtual Butterfly Life Cycles & Gardens

    Funded Apr 12, 2021

The Butterfly Project greatly impacted all the children that were involved in it, and helped them learn about the process of becoming a butterfly. The children ran into the classrooms every morning to check on the cocoons, and made sure that they were well taken care of. The children practiced safety and care by making sure that they did not move the butterfly net, and kept it in a while lit area until they were ready to transform into butterflies. When the cocoons transformed into butterflies the children alerted the teacher and were taken outside to release them. The butterflies were released in our school garden, and we still see them flying around to this day. Each time a student sees the butterflies they talk about their memory of taking care of them until they were ready to be released, and then releasing them and watching them fly away. Our teachers, students and staff are grateful for this project as it was a great learning experience for everyone involved.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Carolina Gil

In 2021 technology is no longer optional, it is now necessary for students and teachers. The pandemic has caused us to NEED technology more important than ever. I intend to bring the virtual classroom to life by creating a butterfly garden so my students can learn the entire life cycle of this beautiful creature. The student learning target is for 4 year olds to learn how a catapillar develops into a butterfly. Lesson plans will align with the time of the life cycle. Additional resources will be used to teach my students the details of how this transformation takes place. My classroom has 15 students and over half of them learn from home. I want to build the garden and have ALL of my students gain the scientific knowledge of the miracle of metamorphosis. Butterflies here we come!
