I am requesting help in purchasing an iPad and Apple Pencil that will emulate that SmartBoard we used while in traditional school. I currently teach 4 classes of 7th grade Special Needs students. While I see growth and progress in them, I know they would be doing even better if I was with them in the classroom. The best I can do now, is offer flawless technology based Math lessons to keep them up to pace and engaged in lessons. Being a teacher from a Title 1 school, I was not given proper up to date technology to do this for them. As a Special Education Teacher I know my students require a certain level of attention that goes above and beyond the traditional General Education classroom. That being said, the supplies and material we as teacher are provided with is a "one size fits all" variety. In the perfect setting I would love for my students to be provided with devices to assist their learning. But in reality, I am only asking for ONE device with the capable technology so that I can use it with them during these unprecedented times.
