    Oh behalf our entire class, we would like to thank you for your kind contribution to our classroom. We are using our new TPT resources to purchase much needed writing activities to foster a love for story telling. Many of my students have expressed an interest in creative writing and now they have the necessary resources to properly imagine, plan, and create wonderful stories of their own!   • Robot Resources!

    My students are absolutely LOVING the Dash robots they received as a result of our incredible donors! Thanks to you, many of my students are discovering that they have a love for computer coding. In addition to this, I am also learning that coding is a GREAT resource for the children to use to become independent problem solvers. The robot resources we received have allowed my students to take their frustration and turn it into a drive for learning. For example, if one of my students is struggling to find the proper coding sequence to move their robot to the next coding level, they calmly work through the problem to discover what they can fix. The joy on their faces when they finally crack the code is truly priceless. We are truly grateful for your kindness and support!”

  • Funding for Curious Kindergarteners

    Thank you so much for your donations! I am incredibly grateful for your support! My project was fully funded, and I have started taking the professional development course that aims to bring computer science into elementary school classroom.

    So far, I have received a robot for the classroom with a bundle of accompanying resources to assist in lesson planning. I am going to incorporate these materials by creating a maker-space in my classroom for the children to use to gain interest. Later, when I have more funding, I will purchase more robots to eventually integrate computer science into as many lessons and I can.

    I can't wait to continue to learn how to bring computer science into my classroom! I hope that the computer science lessons and robotics will create wonder and curiosity in every child in the classroom!”

  • Lets Explore Our Special Interests During Distance Learning!

    Funded Jan 12, 2021

    The technology and resources gifted to our classroom assisted in increasing student engagement. For example, access to resources that met the needs and interests of the students allowed for more excitement and curiosity for learning the new concepts that were introduced to them. We were given access to resources that assisted children in practicing 21st century literacy skills that can be used in other aspects for the rest of their lives.

    The students were most excited about the choice aspect of the projects I assigned. The access to the resources gifted to us by our donors allowed for students to choose projects that asked them to display their comprehension of certain subjects, but they were also able to choose a project that aligned with their interests such as engineering, software development, design and art!

    Because of the resources that were gifted to the class by our generous donors, I was able to see skills displayed that I might not have seen without the resources we used.”

My students have had to participate in distance learning since March of 2020. Despite the current circumstances, every student does their absolute best to come to class everyday ready to learn. We have discussed the topic of Growth Mindset, and the students are eager to continue expanding on their knowledge of topics that personally interest them, but are even more excited to continue practicing things that they need "extra practice" in. By donating to this project, I will be able to purchase digital resources that meet the needs of individual children in terms of what interesting topics they'd like to continue exploring/writing about, and also the subjects that they need more practice in.

About my class
