I am a first year teacher and I am starting mid-year with a 4th grade class. The classroom when I came into it didn't have many materials and no classroom books. I am wanting to build a culturally relevant classroom library that will be enriching for my students and help them grow. I want to have books that represent the students in my classroom to help them feel included and welcomed. Also, I am hoping to get a Cricut for my classroom to create decoration and labels to excite the environment. I will also use this Cricut in art and writing projects with the students to bring their creativity and imagination to life. Lastly, I will create some classroom materials to enhance learning and give visuals to keep lessons engaging.
