Coming back to school during the pandemic this school year, some students return to in-person classes, while many students are attending school virtually. While in-person and virtual experience both offer benefits to students, there is an invisible divide between students in these different environments and the resources and technology they have access to. Having access to an iPad, Apple TV (to stream and share content from all over the world to through the physical and virtual classroom), and Apple Pencil will be a multifunctional tool that will facilitate student engagement and learning this school year and beyond Students will be able to use materials to create novel content but also to access virtual museums, historical sites, geographical landmarks, restaurants, concerts, movie theaters while being able to share and connect with individuals of French language around the world. The students will be able to experience a full immersion experience in the French language from inside the United States. Additionally, in-person students will be able to provide more detailed feedback to their peers by digitally annotating documents, rather than responding with another text document. Students will also be able to use interactive apps, like Google Expeditions, Google Earth, Google Arts and Culture, to interact with and learn from Augmented Reality (AR) models and visit and tour French Speaking countries with Virtual Reality (VR) In our French classroom, the iPad will, without a doubt, become an amazing and necessary tool to open our students to the World in times where the world has had to shut down to the people. Students will be able to take control as schools keep on changing.
