• Classroom Essentials to Ensure Equity in Learning

• Classroom Supplies That Make a Difference

  Thank you so much for your generous donation of classroom supplies. Your support has made my job easier and has a significant impact on the learning environment as well as the educational experience of not only my students, but teachers on my 7th and 8th grade Math team with whom I have shared the resources with.

  Your kindness has provided us with the tools and resources we need to create an engaging and enriching learning atmosphere. The binders, dry erase markers, copy paper, and more you contributed has enhanced our student engagement.

  My students take notes using the donated paper and use their binders daily. Part of their entry routine is to get their binders and part of their weekly grade is a binder check. Through the class binder system, I hope to teach my students how to organize their classwork, assignments, and quizzes.

  We also use the whiteboard markers with our whiteboards regularly. The whiteboards and markers are sometimes used as a game and other times used as a quick check for understanding in the moment. Overall, the materials have made class more efficient and organized.

  My students, the teachers on my team, and I are truly grateful for your commitment to education and your belief in the importance of providing quality learning experiences for our students. • Providing Students Secure Access to Chromebooks

  My students use the classroom set of computers daily. They practice math problems on websites as well as complete their Demonstration of Learning (a short quiz) online. They also take their weekly quizzes online.

  Having this laptop cart has helped to keep our classroom organized and allowed students to take responsibility for distributing, returning, and plugging up the chargers to the computers. Prior to having this cart, I had to keep the computers behind my teacher desk and switch out the chargers every few hours so that all 25 computers would be charged daily. The responsibility was all on me whereas now my students are able to have classroom roles and share the responsibility. It has been great to see my students grow in their Math knowledge and their leadership through the Chromebooks and the laptop cart.”

• Leveling the Technology Playing Field

  Since I announced my project being funded, all of my students have been shocked and excited about the idea that strangers would donate to our class. They've enjoyed using the mouses and appreciated the increased ease of test taking and completing online assignments. With many of our differentiated learning assignments now being online as well as all of our tests, my students are constantly having to use their computers daily. The mouses you donated have made it easier for them to complete work.

  Your gift to my classroom has brought us all joy and one step closer to a world where disadvantaged students have the tools they need to succeed in an ever changing, technology full classroom. Thank you for making my job easier, better, and for believing in our work.”
