This pandemic has been very difficult in the classroom for many reasons. I have to provide a novel for each student during each of our novel units when normally I would be able to use a class set. Teaching middle school, it is very important to create a solid foundation, love and appreciation for reading. This is tough, today, in a world full of electronics competing for students attention. I considered eliminating my novel units because of the lack of funding and resources available; however, I refuse to give up. I believe I can make a difference by influencing students through reading literature in which they can relate and learn. Please help me get the 40 remaining novels needed so that I can continue to read in the classroom successfully.
