Special Education Students Thriving for Success

We are so thankful to you for the generosity given to our special education classroom in the ILC center at Berthoud Elementary. Your donation has helped the students grow in their academic and emotional learning by being able to have access to the learning supplies, resources and wonderful materials that you gave us.

The students have used the sensory floor mats to take breaks when they are tired from doing school work, or to distract themselves from negative emotions such as anger and sadness. We have used the stamps to help us learn our sight words and to practice the spelling of words that we are learning about. The Tobaloos allowed us to hear the sounds in words better and therefore be able to spell words easily.

The Boogie boards are the students' favorite tool! we use it for practicing our math addition facts and multiplication facts. Being able to use a different format for practice makes it more fun and interesting. We are very grateful and we will never forget your generosity.”
