These books are great for teaching about people in history. They are a good grade level/lexile level for middle school students that have some difficulty reading. These books are able to learn facts and then are set up nicely for comprehending information. Daily, the students read one chapter. The interpreter or myself sign the page and then the students repeat the same page by signing. This helps with fluency and comprehension. The students struggle with the English language, so these books give an opportunity to learn history and work on their English skills!
