Exploring Interests for K/1st Grade Special Ed Students

I cannot thank you enough for your contribution towards Exploring Interests for K/1st Grade Special Ed Students. We have been learning in-person since September of 2020.

Excitement filled the room when these boxes arrived and I was just as excited as the students! The support and contributions of those of you that made this happen was much more than I could have asked for.

My students especially needed and enjoyed the sensory and tactile objects to help increase their engagement and meet their sensory needs. We used the classic books in our ELA lessons. The Hungry Caterpillar was especially popular and helped the students learn days of the week, counting and life cycles. The foam paint was used to practice writing letters of the alphabet, but much more engaging than the traditional paper and pencil. The tactile objects gave the students concrete examples and to understand shapes and colors. I am so full of gratitude to be able to present these items to my students and could not have done so without your support.
