Our school district pushed all technology funding to much-needed student devices. While we are doing a great job providing devices to our student population, it was assumed that teachers either had their own devices that were compatible, or that they were given the necessary device by their school. Virtual learning has brought on many issues that we have not faced before--who would have thought I would need my device to run video, Google suite programs, and document programs all at once?! My personal laptop crashed in the first week of school and unfortunately, my school has not provided me with a reliable teaching device that allows me to run instructional applications and see my students in our zoom meeting at the same time. This new device will allow me to see my students while they work and learn as well as perform the student-focused instruction that they deserve.
