The equipment from this purchase will be implemented in a soccer unit. Soccer has only been briefly touched on with our students, and I'd like for them to have a fun way to develop those skills. Students will be able to dribble and kick soft soccer balls into each hole of a 9-hole course. The holes are large plastic bowl-shaped targets for students to aim for.
The soccer balls used are soft and durable which will be safe for student use of all ages, as well as allow for more success than a traditional soccer ball for our younger students. I believe that any modification that allows for more success will only increase students' love for various physical activities.
Finally, the company offers optional, separate net purchases for a game called Foot Volley. For our older students, this could be a challenge that will help develop confidence and perseverance. Not to mention, would make the purchase even more versatile, as it could be used in any other net game, skill practice, and modification as it sits lower to the ground for our younger students. This is truly a project that will get its money's worth!
