Due to the pandemic, the sharing of materials between students is difficult. Having more books would allow my students to have an opportunity to have a variety in their personal libraries in the classroom. It also would allow my students to explore different types of books and it would allow me to connect reading to math and science through STEM activities. First grade is where students grow the most in reading by giving my students a variety of books at different levels will help me differentiate learning and allow them to explore new ideas and grow independently.
