    First and foremost, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your generosity. Education is a vehicle that can propel students in any direction they choose. Having a strong foundation of education will not only open doors for students, but also inspire students to believe anything is possible through hard work, persistence, and dedication.

    This year was unprecedented through our challenges of learning virtually with limited resources ranging from technology to the very basics of pencils and erasers. Your funding has minimized the gap of necessity items such as pencil boxes, pencil sharpeners, whiteboards, and even glue for art projects. When we received the supplies, the students were beyond thrilled to see all of the new materials. As the students transition to the next school year, the resources you provided them will ensure that they start the next school year with necessary supplies to have a head start toward a successful year.

  • Book Rescue!

    My students and I thank you for your contribution to our donors choose project! With your generosity, our classroom was able to obtain a lot of great books that highlighted diversity. My students all stem from multicultural backgrounds and have a family member that has hearing impairment. Each of these students have a unique experience that should be spotlighted.

    Through your generosity I was able to curate a library of books that would engage student interest and curiosity while adding to student reading fluency and comprehension simultaneously. These books allowed students to meet characters that are similar to their experiences and celebrate who they are and where they come from.

From visiting the land of fairytales to the time of the American Revolution, my students will receive books to help them go to all these places through books. Since my students come from low-income households, they do not have the resources to gain literacy in many subjects. Because we are learning virtually, students are losing interest in reading books. The books that I have chosen will help motivate students to read while helping them learn about things they are interested in.

About my class
