Funded Jul 27, 2022I would like to thank you for your generous donations in providing these materials to our students to help build our calm corner. It has truly made a difference in our classroom. We now have various social situations placed on our bookshelf to provide to our students to support their growth, confidence and emotions during this difficult time in the pandemic Again, these materials were specifically chosen for students who have had difficulties with sensory processing, self awareness and regulation. These materials will provide students with learning opportunities to discuss feelings and coping strategies.
Our students love all the materials so far! The sand IS OUR FAVORITE, and we get to search for hidden objects while discussing how it feels.

Social Emotional Learning for OT
Funded Jan 13, 2022I would like to thank you for your generous donations in providing these social emotional learning materials to our students. It has truly made a difference in our classroom. We now have various stories and social situations to provide to our students to support their growth, confidence and emotions during this difficult time. Again, these materials were specifically chosen for students who have had difficulties adjusting back to school after the pandemic. These materials will provide students with social stories they can relate to and learning opportunities to discuss feelings and coping strategies.
Our students love the materials so far! We especially love the sensory plushie that is part of the book! Students love holding it and passing it along while reading. The sand is so fun, and we get to search for hidden objects while discussing how it feels.

We now have various ways to provide students with sensory experiences to support their growth. Again, these materials were specifically chosen for students to have fine motor delays and sensory processing difficulties. These materials help to support their fine motor development, provide sensory stimulation and calming experiences.
Our students love the materials so far! We especially love the sensory sand and theraputty to help strengthen our hands and fingers! The sand is so fun, and we get to search for hidden objects while discussing how it feels. Our 4th and 5th graders love challenging themselves to create different towers for Marble run- as we practice our coordination, dexterity and critical thinking skills.

Funded May 29, 2021I would like to thank you for your generous donations in providing these slant boards to our students. It has truly made a difference in our classroom. We now have enough slant boards to provide to some classrooms with students who could benefit from them. Again, these boards provide ergonomic support to students who have fine motor delays and difficulties. It helps to support their wrists, promote their development and optimize eye contact.
Our students love the boards so far! They can be used in a variety of ways. Sometimes we use them on the desk while completing worksheets. Other times, we use them as dry erase boards to practice tracing, drawing and writing our names. We thank you for making this possible.
