Having a light table in our classroom will not only be an engaging learning tool for the students, but it will also help students to learn valuable social skill such as turn-taking and sharing materials, because only so many can be at the table at a time. Turn taking and sharing is a skill that we work on in preschool throughout the whole year. It will also aid in building fine motor, hand-eye coordination, color recognition, and problem solving skills. Fine motor and hand eye coordination activities help with student's pre-handwriting skills needed for letter formation and pencil grip.
