The majority of my students prefer books when reading novels because of the endless possibility of distraction brought by online learning tools. Also, a lot of them complain about eye strain when using digital resources. Due to the pandemic, students are unable to share materials, including books, for safety reasons. When given hard copies, students can pore over anytime and anywhere. It is said that reading improves literacy skills and helps with mental health. The story of Their Eyes Were Watching God will definitely teach students valuable life lessons while exploring the richness of the text.
