  • Organization is Key

    Funded Jul 20, 2023

Thank you for the generous donations that have had a direct impact on the service I provide to my students. The materials from this project help me organize my students work and keep my students binders ready for class. Having access to an electric stapler and hole puncher has allowed my students to create a variety of projects. It also helps me when completing my daily plans and data for my students. Your generosity has provided my class with the opportunity to level up and begin to prepare for college. My students now each have a binder to create and hold their assignments. The highlighters allow me to help my students to understand and breakdown a variety of text to develop understanding. All these things were only possible because of you donation.”

  • Just Cooling It. 833 Style.........

    Funded Jul 7, 2023

As of four moths ago, my students have been experiencing a water crisis is Jackson, MS. This means that they are required to boil their water and cannot drink from the water fountains at school. This also requires parents to send additional water with their children to school. My students are resilient and have to overcome numerous challenges. I tell the everyday that despite the challenges our city faces, we will endure.

We have received an abundance of water donations, but we are still in need.

With the cases of water that my students have received, they must be kept cold. Now that it is time for us to go back to school and the humidity in Mississippi, I am requesting a beverage cooler to keep the water stored in our classroom cold and readily accessible to them when needed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davis- Smith

  • Safe and Sound Back to School!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

The material that i received for my "Safe and Sound Back to School" project was amazing. Being in a low income area, I was able to provide my students that came to school to receive their face to face instruction wit the PPE material for the safety of all of us. It felt so good being able to provide them with these material and their parents not having to worry about it. Being that we have been virtual for over a year, our scholars and staff really felt safe and secure coming back to school. Covid really affected our community, but we know that we couldnt let it totally take us away from education. By having these supplies it made us feel half way safe and confident to come in to the school face to face and to receive our education.

    Again, I am forever grateful”

  • Safe and Secure Water @833

    Funded Sep 19, 2022

Due to the City of Jackson water woes, the water that was distributed helped not only my students, but the entire Lanier High School. Us having safe drinking water was definitely a necessity.

When the truck arrived with the water, I immediately pulled some of my students to help pull the water, my students were in awe at the amount of water from people that didnt personally know us. They were instrumental in helping me get the water off of the delivery truck into a safe and stored location that is readily accessible to us all.”

  • Cheerleaders on the Healthy Kick!!

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

Being a cheerleader is a big thing at our school. But being a happy, safe, and clean cheerleader is even better. I am so thankful for the goodies that we have received and we are very much thankful for them. These young ladies spend countless numbers of hours perfecting their craft (cheer) and sometimes we need an extra push and support.

Hygiene is a big thing for me and especially for my young ladies. We have one on one and we have group chat sessions where we can discuss things that my need my assistance.

These products will be used and again we are very appreciative.”

  • Our Fight Against Germs

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity to sponsor my project. My students and I feel clean and safe in our environment due to the PPE items that we ordered. They are now understanding why it's so important to have a clean mask and to wash your hands several times a day.

They were sooo happy to help me unpack the boxes, find us a storage area and arrange the items in our caddy. It is imperative that we have the items we need in order to be successful academically and socially. It is impossible not to get close to the students, but now we all feel safe.”

    With gratitude,

Being safe and being able to receive your education in a conducive environment is the most important thing for me as it relates to my students. The students will have access to the safety products (sanitizer, masks, and wipes) to make sure their area is clean and sanitized. Even when the students return to school, they will continue to complete their assignments via the online platform. The students will be able to print the work out, complete it, and scan it to their teacher so they can receive credit for it.
