  • Using The Basics for Reading Fair Projects

    Funded Jun 12, 2024

The basic resources in this project have allowed my students to complete various projects in the classroom. These supplies have transformed my students and have allowed them to create memorable Reading Fair projects. My students are at the stage where they have chosen their books and are preparing to develop and present project boards.

My students are making boards pop with creativity and grow their interest in reading projects. These resources certainly got the job done! The construction paper and the markers help to draw special attention to the students' projects. These materials, have allowed my students to draw the attention of the judges and bring back 1st place trophies. The materials in the project have dramatically changed the effort my students put into their reading projects. It is with your support for this project that students had the opportunity to create reading fair projects. Thank you for enhancing my students reading fair experience.”

  • Once a Month, Every Month

    Funded Feb 18, 2024

This project has made a tremendous impact on our female student population. Because we are an inner-city school, it is so much easier on our students to be able to access necessities like this at school.

Each morning the bathrooms are checked to make sure that a supply is available for the students. Even if the supplies are low, students know where to come to get what they need.

Please know that your donation has made a difference in the lives of students who need these supplies on a monthly basis.”

  • Moving On After the Storm

    Funded Feb 4, 2024

Because of your kind generosity, my students have a place to put all of their folders and journals. The extra storage gives the students a consistent place to store materials without anyone bothering them. The students were so excited to have these special storage solutions (not to mention they are the only class with them!). They just love asking other students "where do you guys put your stuff"? These resources are used daily and are a part of our classroom routines. The students sometimes use the shelves as flexible seating because they are able to sit on the shelves as well. Next, I want to provide a stationary shelf for the students. The shelf would house multiple kinds of writing utensils for annotation. Thank you for the headphones which makes privacy during listening possible. Because of you, our classroom is very organized!”

  • Water for the Crisis!

    Funded Jan 9, 2023

The water problems have returned just when we thought we were past them. As a result, we must provide our children with access to clean drinking water. It is with your help that I am able to provide my students with clean drinking water during class. Actually, our students enjoy drinking water! We want to make water available to our students so that we don't have to force them to drink it. I'm proud of our children because they comprehend the connection between water consumption and physical wellness. Since many of them are athletes, they must consume large amounts of water.

For these reasons, kindly contribute to securing clean water for our pupils.

Thank you for helping provide my classroom with water and helping keep my students healthy and hydrated.”

  • Keep the Water Flowing!

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

A unique group of scholars makes up my students. They just like to drink water. They seldom ever have any other type of beverage in their hands. Unfortunately, we don't always have access to fresh, clean water where we live. Students will be able to simply walk in and receive water without worrying with your donation. You have provided easy access to drinking water for my students.

I feel compelled to offer water in class since we can no longer access water fountains. Our students are highly thrifty and responsible. They actually consume the supplied water. Your donation of water to my classroom provided a relaxing atmosphere where my students know they are assured they will have water.”

  • Reading and Illustrating

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Students in my secondary school are reading famous works of literature. We are now reading works of English literature. After reading, the kids are so enthusiastic that they opt to use art to further convey what they have learned. Students will produce an art project to depict their favorite passage from the book after reading it. I adore how eager my students are to continue their reading of the book in another format.

Your generous donation will help students to have the supplies needed for their projects. Students have space to store their art supplies in the cabinets. Students have a convenient location to put their markers, scissors, glue, and other supplies thanks to the portable storage. The variety of poster boards now available to students through this project will help bring their readings to life. It is will your help that my students now have the supplies and materials to enhance the English literature experience. Thank you for your donations and support of my students and their learning.”

  • Powering Up For Testing

    Funded Dec 21, 2022

A superb collection of high school students make up my class. They oscillate between being anxious about what will happen after graduation and being thrilled about graduation. They are about to start a testing season, so having these power banks on hand would be quite helpful. Since there aren't enough outlets to charge every computer that needs charging and many of their computers aren't fully charged, we will use the power banks in the testing room.

These portable chargers are the solution to this problem!

Students won't need to be near outlets to power their computers thanks to the chargers. They only have to plug in the chargers to get started!”

  • Water: A Hot Commodity!

    Funded Nov 24, 2022

We believed that the water situation was over. While it may be over for some, it isn't in our area! My students continue to require access to clean drinking water due to the ongoing water issue in Jackson, Mississippi. Your donation has allowed my students daily requests for water to be fulfilled. Our students still have a huge need for safe water!

Since my pupils can't bring water from home, I want to keep some on hand in the classroom. Your thoughtful gifts have taken care of the issue. Not having access to clean drinkable water causes stress to my students. Thank you for helping my students relieve this stress from their lives.”

  • Preparing for Success

    Funded Nov 21, 2022

Seniors who are getting ready for college make up my class. The AP exam is a college-level test that necessitates much study. These guides that you have provided my student will help prepare them for the test. My kids have high expectations and are aiming for a 5 on the test. Your contribution to this initiative is helping to succeed. Each pupil has a manual so they get the practice they require. The students' drive to succeed is so inspiring to me, and I know that this will completely improve their lives. Thank you for your generous donation.”

Our students have been learning virtually since school began in August and are more than ready to come back to school! My students are concerned that we won't be able to keep out environment disinfected after each student's use. These supplies will enable us to be confident that student can come to school and thrive in a safe, clean environment. Having these supplies will give our students and parents the confidence that is needed during this time. With these supplies, I will create a "Sanitizing Station" which students will be able to see and use as needed throughout the day. Students will be eating breakfast and lunch in the classroom so much cleaning will be needed on a daily basis.
