Technology Can Help My Students Grow and Learn!
Funded Sep 21, 2022This technology is helping my students learn in many ways. We are now able to use our whiteboard and projector to incorporate and plan appropriate use of 21st Century Skills for my students. Our technology is used to facilitate students' equitable access to the curriculum and implement principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in each lesson, to effectively plan and design learning experiences for all children that incorporate recommended, evidence-based practices. What's most exciting to our students is, our technology helps to promote their engagement and participation in the lesson and gives students the freedom to come up to the board and pick answers with confidence. It is also used to create a more inclusive learning environment where I use our technology to create multiple ways to represent information using interactive text, images, sound, and video files, to reach a wide range of learners in the classroom. Some students have warmed up more than others. Those students can use technology to explore new worlds, make believe, and actively engage in fun and challenging activities. They always raise their hand to get the opportunity to come to the board and demonstrate their learning development. Finally, all learning activities that I plan for use with our technology are designed to cognitively engage students academically, culturally, and linguistically, are aligned to the instructional standards and represent 21st Century Skills. Learning activities are differentiated as appropriate to incorporate the social emotional wellness of individual learners. Thank you so much Donors!”
