Every year, John P. Freeman STEM Club, led by Dr. Melissa Collins, hosts STEM Fest! We invite students and their families to come after-school to participate in fun and engaging STEM Challenges. It is so important for our students to learn critical and creative thinking skills. We are preparing them for a future job market that is constantly changing and adapting to the new challenges we face as global citizens. STEM provides students with the skills and opportunities that they will need in our ever-changing world. This year, we're bringing STEM Fest home to our students! Students will complete four STEM challenges using the materials provided in our STEM Fest To Go kits. They will create mazes to challenge others. Straw Rafts and Transport Devices challenge students to use the Engineering Design Process. Pompom Launchers give them a variety of materials to drive creativity.
