Thank you so much for the board games. The students really enjoy the opportunity to socialize and learn how to play board games in a safe and positive environment. Some students know how to play and others are eager to learn. The important part is that they are interacting with each other and having fun at the same time. My classroom is a safe space during lunch and after school. The board games contribute to a great environment.
Your donation has really helped me provide more activities for the students at my school. I want to thank you for sharing part of your kindness with others. I know my students appreciate your donation as much as I do. Your donation makes a positive difference in the kids lives because they get to make memories and live positive experiences while they take care of their mental health in a safe and healthy environment.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Garcia

My students have demonstrated huge improvement in making presentations and participating during class. The microphone and speaker donation allows for to enhance the projection of their voice. I am grateful for your donation to our classroom.
Student presentations are essential for learning because they must conduct research, organize the content and deliver the content. These hands on activity empowers then to engage in the learning process while at the same time develops their public speaking abilities.
When we got the speaker and mic by mail to our school, I could not believe it. This is the first time I have a project funded. The students helped me to connect and charge the microphone and as soon it was charged, they started to listen to how their voices sound with a microphone. Your donation ignited curiosity, collaboration and fostered confidence in the students.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Garcia

All of our students want to learn history in a fun way. Before COVID, I used a variety of group projects, presentations, propaganda posters, gallery walks, and even simulations to teach history. Unfortunately, I am low on art supplies and I want to be ready for in-class instruction when it's safe to reopen our schools in East Los Angeles. Our students have been working too long on the computer and individually. The excessive amount of screen time has taken a toll on their socialization and creativity skills. If we were to go back to school in March 2021, I would not have sufficient art supplies for my students. I want my students to have a rich classroom experience with their peers when we go back to school next year.
My goal is to have a variety of art supplies for students to choose from to create their art projects and expand their knowledge of history.
I have seen first hand how excited my students get to work on a history propaganda poster or a history timeline. The students are more engaged and more likely to remember the content of the class.
